Special Education Services for Children Ages 0-2.5

The New York State Early Intervention Program (EIP) offers an array of therapeutic and support services to eligible infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. Children should be referred to EI when they have a suspected developmental delay or when they have a diagnosed physical or mental condition that likely will result in a developmental delay.

Visit to view upcoming meeting dates, get information on developmental milestones, download the the Parent’s Guide (Versión en Español – Programa de intervención temprana), and learn how to apply for services.

The Early Childhood Program is a service of Bronx Independent Living Services. Established in 1983, BILS is a non-profit, community based organization dedicated to empowering all people with disabilities to understand and exercise their civil and human rights in order to live fully integrated lives in mainstream society.
